Each month this page will be updated with a selection of diverse and fun activities to do in Rotterdam, so you can relax next to all the studying, meet new students and broaden your horizon. 03/04: Underground Sessions


Come and play and/or listen to music played by students in the underground bicycle garage on Woudestein Campus! This is a great venue with fantastic acoustics where you can attend or participate in a 45-minute mini concert! You can bring your own instrument, but this is only possible with acoustic instruments. Every style is possible (classical/jazz/pop or spoken word etc.). You can play 1 song (about 4 minutes), but if there is time you might be able to play another one. You can sign up via this link! 05/04 & 19/04: Open HeART Café

Come and draw, paint or be creative in other ways at the Open heART café! These art workshops are organised several Wednesdays per month from 16:30 to 18:30 on campus. Each week there is a different creative assignment; you get tips & tricks and get to know fellow creative students. The material (pencils, paint, paper, etc.) is provided and you register for one week at a time, so you are not committed to anything. Sign up here to get creative with fellow students!

05/04: Movie night on Campus: Titanic

Every month the Aula is transformed into a cinema, and a movie night is organised in collaboration with ESN-Rotterdam. This edition features a true classic: The Titanic! This drama film, starring a cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, is an epic action-packed romance set against the fateful maiden voyage of the "unsinkable" Titanic, at the time the largest moving object ever built. It tells the lovestory of Jack and Rose, two young people from different backgrounds who cannot be together. We won't reveal more, you just have to come and see the movie yourself on campus! 13/04: Celebrate Your Culture

'Celebrate You Culture' is a fun, festive and inspiring cultural bonanza, featuring networking opportunities, live music, drinks and snacks, an open stage, for those who wish to showcase their cultural traditions, through dance, song or music; and more! In collaboration with various student and study associations, EUR’s IDEA Center is organizing this Community Event on the 13th of April from 18:00 to 22:00 in the Theil Hall. The aim of this events is to bring the Erasmian community together and to celebrate diversity and culturalism within EUR. See you there!

13/04 & 18/04: 84hr Student Film Project

The 84hr Student Film Project is a fast-paced and sleepless weekend in which teams of students make a movie: write, shoot, edit, and deliver - in just three-and-a-half days! Will you be able to do it? Thursday evening all teams will receive 3 ingredients at 21.00hrs: a sentence, an object, and character. These elements need to be used in a short movie of max 8 minutes. The movie needs to be delivered to the organizers on Monday morning, 9.00hrs (84 hours later). Tuesday 18 April all movies will be shown to an audience of participants and fellow students and we will choose the winner! Do you want to join? Then sign up here!

16/04: Erasmus Charity Run

Let’s try to exceed last year's record amount (€ 17.120,00) and collect as much money as possible for our charity: financing at least 2 scholarships for talented young people who do not have enough financial resources to study at Erasmus University Rotterdam! The Erasmus Charity Run is a special part of the official Rotterdam Marathon. Participants may run the 10.55-kilometre marathon or the 42.195-kilometre marathon. Students, academics and staff may join the Erasmus Charity Run of Erasmus University Rotterdam. An unforgettable experience, and for a good cause. You can come cheer for all the participants, and donate/register on this website.

18/04: Studio Erasmus

Studio Erasmus is Erasmus University's talk show about science and current affairs. With interviews, mini lectures and live music. They are back on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 with a new edition!
